We thought the hotel was clean and tidy and in a good location.
Close to the beach, nice stuff, big clean rooms.
A very clean hotel with excellent facilities including a nice pool. Within walking distance of the Alicante beach and only 10 minutes walk to the centre of the town so convenient for pretty much everything. Nice friendly staff and excellent communal areas.
Very good breakfast and spacious hotel
2 receptionists at check in and check out if you don't pay on arrival you sure will miss you flight on departure 50 people in front of you on check out
The location is excellant with a bus stop directly outside the main entrance, Marq Tram Station literally less than five walking minutes away as well as being next to the main road which takes you to the City, beaches and other attractions or to the motorway. It has it's own car park, swimming pool with a bar, fitness room and a tennis court.
(1) Three out of the four breakfasts we had were execellant. The hot food on our last morning was poor because it was very dry. Must have been cooked too early for guests and left for a while. (2) The room was generally pretty clean but more attention should be given to the corners and edges. (3) The legs of my twin bed were wobbly but this not stop me from sleeping. Needs to be looked at and made good. (4) This is not a complaint but an observation for the hotel has only two terminals for Internet Access. These were heavily used while we were there and for the size of this hotel maybe they should consider having more.
Not too far from main part of Alicante
The sun isn't around the pool until 2pm, there aren't enough sunbeds by the pool either. Our door didn't work properly & upon return to the room the door was open. The balcony was awful-all closed it, could only open windows, no point in having a balcony. Room was dirty
Hotel maya is excellent value for money, the staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed b&b and the breakfast buffet was amazing, pretty much everything you can imagine, lovely fresh breads and rolls, fruit, yoghurt, continental and cooked. Great coffee machines as well. Pool was small but spotlessly clean, beach is only a 5 min walk away anyway. Our room was on the 6th floor, we had a balcony with amazing sea views, again the room was spotlessly clean. We were also really pleased with the location, there is a large shopping mall over the road which has a huge supermarket, the nearby beach was lovely although the beach bar was ridiculously expensive, the promanade was lovely in the evening and there is a bar near to melia hotel on the sea front, great for a gin and tonic and a bit of people watching. This is a really great place, I love the fact that every age range mixes from the old with zimmer frames to babe's in prams being pushed along by parents, groups of young lads playing volley ball and football, great atmosphere and the locals are soo friendly. The old town has lots of restaurant for alfresco dining, we had some awesome meals.
Unfortunately, as much as I hate to complain about anything, the beds were so uncomfortable, it was like some form of torture going to bed. I can usually sleep on a washing line but they were so hard it was painful. It wouldn't stop me staying again, too many good points that out way the bad, caught up on sleep during the day on the beach.
Good location - 10 minute walk to beach, tram station right outside with good links to Benidorm and rest of Costa Blanca, castle and large supermarket/shopping centre close by. Pool area not too crowded, bar food good standard, free internet access, good views from room.
Friendly staff, helpful staff. My taxi I had prebooked from England did not turn up and staff kept phoning them, but no answer. Staff then phoned their own taxi company and taxi's took us to airport. Swimming pool very clean, pool bar very good and the snack meals from the bar very enjoyable . My family and I had gone to Spain for a family wedding so there were quite a few of us and every body said how good the hotel was.
Comfortable bed close to big shopping center close to bus and metro takes 2 min to city center/beach for 1.20, or walk about 15-20 min. Good housekeeping A/C and free internet throughout Close to some small restaurants
No small shampoos etc. Only hand soap. 10 euro per day for parking
Staff helpful Clean and bright Excellent room cleaning
I would have preferred more non processed food for breakfast
Evening meal which I had on the second nite was rubbish. Everybody found the food was not very warm, the temperature settings were not high enough. The food was congealed, been left too long. The staff did not speak hardly any english and wernt very friendly the rooms were very basic and needed renovating, the pool was clean although next to the roadside and you could get fumes from passing cars. the toilets downstairs near the internet services were very clean. the hotel needs more life, more english speaking staff, tea and coffee facilities, more info on places to visit. beeter food at nite, rooms need renovating and lighting in hallways needs to be brighter, towels should be provided at the swimming pool.more friendliness between staff and customer
The room was big and comfortable. Also, the facilities including the pool and bar were of a high quality and the staff were pleasant. We requested a sea view and the staff met that request. The location is also a positive to the extent that a tram stop is very close to the hotel.
The room's balcony always smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Also, the hotel is a bit outside of the central part of the city.
Near the beach! Also, the swimming pool is really nice.
Kind of far away from the city center, maybe 1 or 2 km by walk. Very minimal hotel, no luxury whatsoever.
